Frequently Asked Questions
Is a USB-C cable included?
No, most people have a suitable cable at home anyway. Simply connect your existing USB-C smartphone cable, place the device on the charger, and you're done.
Which devices can I charge with the ChargePad Pro?
Both Trackcard models (Tag and One), MagSafe-compatible iPhones, and other wirelessly chargeable smartphones, for example from Samsung or Google.
How much charging power does the ChargePad Pro have?
Up to 7.5 watts, enough to reliably charge both Trackcard and smartphone at your desk or overnight.
Does charging work through the phone case?
Yes, with normal cases without metal parts up to about 3 to 5 mm thick. Remove cards with chips or magnetic stripes from the case first.
How do I know my Trackcard is charging?
By the LED on the card: Red means it's charging, Blue means it's full. A full charge lasts up to 6 months on the Trackcard Tag, up to 4 months on the One.
Do I need an app or setup?
No. Connect the cable, place the device on the ChargePad Pro, and it starts charging immediately.
Where is Trackcard developed?
Trackcard is developed in Germany. If you have questions, you can reach our support team via the contact page, and you'll find answers to frequently asked questions in our Help Center.
What if I don't like the product?
No problem: You have a 60-day return right. Just contact our support and you'll get your money back.
How long is my warranty?
All Trackcard products come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
Where can I find setup instructions?
Step-by-step instructions are available as Video Guides and in the User Manuals. Setup takes just a few minutes and works directly via Apple or Google, without an extra app.
Wireless charging: What you need to know about the ChargePad Pro
What is the ChargePad Pro?
The ChargePad Pro is a wireless charging pad with up to 7.5 W charging power and a housing made of aluminum. It charges both Trackcard models as well as MagSafe-compatible iPhones and other wireless-capable smartphones.
Does wireless charging work through a phone case?
Yes, with normal cases up to about 3 to 5 mm thick without metal components. Cases with metal backing won't work. Also important: credit cards with chips or magnetic stripes don't belong between phone and pad during charging; they interfere with transmission and can be damaged.
Can I charge a MagSafe iPhone on a regular charging pad?
Yes. MagSafe iPhones charge on the ChargePad Pro at 7.5 W, the standard limit for wireless charging on iPhones without MagSafe certification. The magnetic snap is just missing; you simply place the iPhone in the middle.
How fast does a 7.5-watt charging pad charge?
Slower than a fast-charging cable, but conveniently: for the desk or nightstand, the power output is more than enough. The Trackcard doesn't need much energy anyway; a charge lasts it several months.
Why isn't my phone charging on the charging pad?
The most common causes: the device isn't positioned in the center of the charging surface, the case is too thick or contains metal, or the connected power adapter doesn't provide enough power. Repositioning the device, checking the case, and using a standard USB-C power adapter solves the problem in almost all cases.
Why is it delivered without a charging cable?
A USB-C cable is deliberately not included: most people already have one at home. Simply use your existing smartphone cable and save yourself another cable cluttering your drawer.
